Tonight at 8:30 is a cycle of one-act plays by Noel Coward. This Spring, New Stagers brings you three of these plays performed together as a triple bill:
The Astonished Heart – Directed by Cat Fox-Kirk
Psychiatrist Dr. Christian Faberi is happily married to Barbara but when he meets Barbara’s friend, Leonora, a destructive affair leads to tragedy.
Still Life – Directed by Alex Piggins
When Alec and Laura meet by chance at a railway station, an intense love affair soon follows. Over a year, the couple meet regularly until eventually, agonised by guilt, both agree to say their goodbyes. However, what should be a passionate final farewell is not to be.
Red Peppers – Directed by Stephanie Kendrick
Doing a song and dance act in a vaudeville theatre are George Pepper and his wife, Lily. They also have a genius for picking quarrels and insulting co-workers - something which ultimately leads to their downfall.
p.s. Starts at 7.30pm not 8.30pm as the name may suggest!
